Charles F. Lloyd

Charles (Chuck) Franklin Lloyd, age 84 of Barron, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Barron Care & Rehab.
Chuck was born May 4, 1933 to Fred and Gladys (Blair) Lloyd in the Clinton Township, Barron County. He attended Pine Grove School until the family moved to the City of Barron in 1943.  Chuck graduated from Barron High School in 1951.  He married Donna Lemler on October 8, 1955 in Pine City, Minnesota.  
Chuck served in the National Guard from 1950 to 1961.  Chuck was a heavy equipment operator and worked and retired from the Barron County Highway Department in July of 1989.   
Chuck was an outdoorsman.  He enjoyed working outdoors on his farm, fishing and most especially, hunting.  He looked forward to his annual deer hunting trips in the Cable area with his family and friends.  He hunted for over 70 years.  Hunting will not be the same without him.  
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Barron, brother, Larry of Beaver Dam, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven, parents, Fred and Gladys Lloyd, and his sister, LaVonne (Lloyd) Lilly.  
Funeral services for Charles “Chuck” Lloyd will be Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church in Barron with Rev. Ron Mathews officiating.  
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 16 at the Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.
